Bionic Pornstar.

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

First and foremost, a big Happy Birthday to Tom Fulp, the man behind Newgrounds! Today is his special day where we celebrate all the things he’s created including his soon-to-be-prodigy offspring. It’s called Pico Day and it’s going on RIGHT NOW HOLY FUCK.

Also you should really check out Hal the Misinterpretive Pornstar made by the otherworldly Happy Harry who is responsible for the success of my house being built thanks to the ridiculous amount of bricks I’ve shit in response to his work. I plug it not only because it’s hysterical but because I voiced in it. :3 Hip hip hooray!

So I also want to talk about the new Bionic Commando game. If you recall I ragged pretty hard on Bionic Commando Rearmed, saying that it was a poorly designed unfun disaster. Capcom released recently a multiplayer demo for the latest 3D Bionic Commando and holy shit it’s so fun. I’ve been waiting for a game like this for a long time. It’s a super simple 3rd person shooter deathmatch game with the easiest controls ever. You shoot and go around and pick up super self explanatory guns and kill each other mercilessly. It runs super great, swinging around is wicked fun, and so many good choices were made visually. The players are all super bright distinct colors, the items are super bright, distinct, and huge. It’s pure fun, and it doesn’t try to be realistic or any bullshit like that. I suggest downloading this demo immediately and you may run into me playing it. Last I played I started winning every match and was kinda getting disappointed at the lack of competition but it was still new so that’s to be expected. I’m hoping competition gets SUPER GOOD and it becomes a really competitive game. It brings me back to the days of playing those huge cabinet 3D arcade games where you face off against players and just shoot the shit out of each other. Fun stuff.

I also noticed Virtual On Oratorio Tangram is available to download in the Xbox Live Arcade. I’m so tempted to buy it, since it was my favorite arcade game in my teenage years, but I’d love to see the joysticks. I heard a rumor they’re releasing 360 compatible joysticks for the game and I would so buy them if they came out. I can’t imagine many people are online playing VOOT, though. Did many people get into it? I know the PS2 one flopped big time.

Next awesome cartoon is almost complete. Made some tweaks I’m happy with, I hope you’ll be happy with them too. =) It’s funny, the awesome series started out as something I just kinda threw together for fun, but I’ve gotten so serious about it, that when I take a second and let loose on a recent one, it feels like I’d forgotten how to. But then letting loose turns out to make the movie a thousand times funnier and more memorable. Hahaha… oh Ego, when will you ever learn that making animations is just FUN TO DO. Stop stressing about it YO.

Anyway hope you see you all on Bionic Commando!

Girlchan in Fanartidise.

Inspired by my previous post, or just out of the kindness of people hearts, I’ve recieved 3 more Girlchan fanarts!

This dazzling Girlchan from the lovely talented KeroTheHetetic!

This gorgeous Girlchan from the very talented LemonadeAcid!

and Guy doing what he does best by the aptly named killstabithh!

Thanks a lot guys! These fanarts have made me super pumped to continue work on Girlchan episode 2 and beyond! I’m glad so many of you like Girlchan in Paradise. I like it too! In fact, we’re planning on launching an official Girlchan site with some exclusive content!!

As I mentioned in my Newgrounds blog, the latest awesome toon isn’t coming along as great as I had hoped. It’s really the first time I’ve had to do a major amount of tweaking to make it satisfy myself. It’s a welcome challenge honestly, I really needed something to slap me in the face and let me know I’m not invincible. It is definitely taking longer than I had hoped, though, and that bugs me, because I have so many other things I want to work on. Particularly my art, I’m trying to develop my skills enough where I feel confident enough to tackle some huge projects I’m ACHING to work on.

I think the pace of my animations, as in, the pace at which they come out should be increasing soon. Yay.

Girlchan in Poopidise

Hey kiddies.

So being that I am an artist, I like drawing fanart. I love taking characters and reimagining them, or just paying homage to their wicked designs and the wicked artists that designed them.

That being said, I know how much of an honor it is to have art done of my characters. I’ve had a ton of “Awesome Snake” fanart over the years, and stuff like that, which is wicked awesome, but there’s something way more satisfying seeing that people really appreciate the characters you created from out of the blue, as opposed to parodies of existing characters.]
My good friend Nalem drew a fantastic fanart of Yusuke vs. Kenstar, the legendary rivalry. I’ve also received an AMAZING Girlchan fanart from another friend of mine, Sami, but it hasn’t been scanned yet. I’ll post that up when it is!!

It gets me pumped to work even harder on my personal projects, the ones with my own stories and characters and all that. I’ve been so excited to announce a couple but I’m choosing not to unless I know when it’s going to get completed.  There’s a bunch of art and what not for them in my art folders, you can check those out dawg, try to figure out what’s what, haha.

Speaking of Girlchan fans! CrystalAshes has made an authentic Girlchan fansite. Little does he know that this site perfectly fits in with the Girlchan theme. Hosted on Geocities, move information, character guides, the whole shebang! Brings me back to 1999. Now all we need is a Kotomaru Shrine Webring! Any takers?

Next awesome cartoon is coming along nicely, but it’s a way bigger workload than normal. It seems I’ve forgotten how to not give a shit about animation, haha. Everything I do now has to be top notch! I can’t wait to get started on some more game graphics, sweet!

Anyway, peace out dawgs.
