Thanks everyone that came out to Infinite Bits. This year was its first year but the turnout didn’t feel like a first year! Meeting everyone was a blast, and all of you were so enthusiastic about meeting up and the con in general, it really made the experience one of my best con experiences ever, even better than some of the huge cons I like to frequent!
The panel apparently went off really well. I was surprised I could fill an hour just by rambling. I’ve been told my panel had the biggest turnout of any of the panels, which is really exciting, thanks everyone who asked a question and attended!! I know a ton of people video taped it, and I’m still waiting for a full upload of the panel. If you taped it, please put it up so I can post it here!
In addition to the Q&A at the panel, I also had a bunch of people interview me at my booth, and those have steadily been popping up:
I really hope to make Infinite Bits next year and make my panel and my appearance much more exciting and thought out. This was more spontaneous for me and while I thought that worked a lot, I could have used a backbone with which to feed off of.
Also I don’t want to forget mentioning that I met Doug Walker aka The Nostalgia Critic and his equally cool brother Rob Walker aka The Other Guy, and they were the coolest. I got to hand out with them a ton and I even got to appear in one of their upcoming videos. I’ll post that up once it’s up. =)
Also worth mentioning I got to meet the super sexy Destructoid guys and they let me crash their panel. What a bunch of charmers!!
Hope you guys can make next year’s Infinite Bits. All the games, the people, the events, were a blast!
At any rate, Lemon ‘n Bill news. Lemon ‘n Bill episode 3 will premiere this Sunday. Sorry for the two week hiatus, I’ve been sick, and super busy. Lemon ‘n Bill will kick off where it left off and continue its weekly release schedule!! With Rasta videos for every episode! How exciting!
Other works are in the works as usual. Hope all is well! Also if you don’t, you should Follow me on Twitter. I update at least daily, if not more so.
Hey guys don’t forget, Infinite Bits is THIS WEEKEND in Miami. Click my site’s banner for more information. I’ll be a guest all three days. I’ll have a booth and my own panel on Saturday and god knows what I’m gunna talk about. Hope to see you there!!
Every so often I’ll lose a piece of a figure. It’s usually a little accessory that isn’t particularly important, but does make me devalue the figure much more as a result. I’ll freak out about it, and try to find it, but eventually I won’t, consider it hopeless and give up.
I’ll then go on with my life normally, major changes will happen, YEARS will go by, and then suddenly in the most unexpected place and time, I’ll find the piece again. It just happened to me with some Mega Man X accessory. And I’m not talking about, oh here it is, in this box of things I was rummaging through, I’m talking, oh, here it is on the floor of the kitchen where I eat every day and would’ve noticed something like this.
The most memorable occurrence of this for me was from a Goku figure. The front of the belt was detachable for some reason, and I lost it. A year later, I find it underneath the fucking steps of my science class’s stoop. What the hell is up with that?
In other news, the new Transformers flash will be released on the 20th. =) BUCKLE UP! Because we’re goin on a wild ride!!
Today we went to Knotts’ Berry Farm’s Halloween event, Knotts’ Scary Farm.. and it was fucking GARBAGE. I’ve never been to such a lazy, unorganized, apathetic theme park in my life. Not only were the scarers either not even there, or completely unenergetic, the haunted houses were lame, predictable, and super unscary. The rides were standard fare, and the atmosphere, as in, the people who also went there, were drunk and stupid and there were like 50 fights. Like holy F, every time I turned around, some scarer was cohorting with the security staff trying to tackle some dude who like, stuck a dick in their rubber mask or some shit. I dunno, I don’t care. It was dumb.
We ended up getting super hungry, and fuckin, fuckin, went to this local Pho place, and I swear, it was delicious and yum. I had a whole Pho bowl of Pho, and it was Pho-king great. lmaolmaolmaolmaorofl XD anyway I’m gunna have some ice cream now because we got this discount cookie dough shit, it’s the bomb even though I haven’t had any yet. I just assume it is because you know, cookie dough is great.
After a long struggle with the application process, Mountain Sheep has finally gotten Minigore episode 2 approved and in the iTunes app store now! Here are the new features in episode 2:
Lemon ‘n Bill is about a bullet and a lemon who get caught up in video game worlds and have no particular goal or idea of what’s going on, but they end up adapting to the situation pretty quickly. Please enjoy this weekly series and come back next Sunday to enjoy the second episode of Lemon ‘n Bill!
What do you think? From feedback I’ve already gotten, episode 2 will be shorter.
Thanks for all the commissions, guys. I’ve been getting so many, and they were all really fun! Right now I’ve got a ton of stuff on my plate I need to focus on, so I’m going to have to cut off commissions now. They’ve kinda made me realize I need to work harder at art… as if I didn’t know that already.
NOT JUST BAD NEWS THOUGH, tomorrow will be the series premiere ofLemon ‘n Bill at Machinima.com! It will be a weekly series about a Lemon and a Bullet talking about video games. What fun! I love making it, it’s a total blast and I hope you check it out!
I have a new movie I’ve been meaning to release on NG for quite some time, I’ll probably do it in a couple weeks or so, maybe sooner. <3
Once my projects reach a phase where I’m pretty confident in the work I’ve done, I’ll post some progress, but for now I’ve got my hands in a lot of pies and they still need to be cooked a lil more teehee. I always feel weird about posting what I’m working on, but I always like when other authors post about what they’re working on, here are the projects:
Untitled RPG (this is a huge project and will take most of my time)
Untitled RPG 2 (Not a sequel, just another project. Much smaller than the other one)
So yes, as you can imagine, I have a lot of work ahead of me, which is why I’m closing commissions for now. It feels very good to have so much going on, but at the same time it’s very overwhelming, so I’m trying not to get too distracted by other things.
To be honest, ever since the Flat Face video, I’ve been discussing with Tomamoto about starting some kind of constant barrage of live action videos, because they take significantly less time to produce than a cartoon. That way I can get something out that you guys can enjoy without distracting me too much from my big projects!! Would you guys enjoy that?
Don’t forget, I’ll be flying out to Miami for Infinite Bitson October 23-25!! Please come and visit, I love meeting all of you, I always have so much fun!! What would you guys like to see at an Egoraptor panel? What would you like me to do, or talk about? Of course I’ll be talking about how awesome cartoons are made, etc etc, but is there anything you think would be fun or creative? I’m open for suggestions!! I’ll make sure somebody videotapes the panel, but please attend!! The more, the merrier.
Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson is a goofy guy who draws a lot and makes a bunch of silly internet cartoons called the "awesome series." He also likes video games a lot and usually talks about them, and hopes to be able to make a bunch. He's got a bunch of stories to tell so look out 'cause he's going to tell them.
